The US Must Strive for the Withdrawal of Azerbaijani Troops, Palone

The US must strive for the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the border areas with Armenia, stated Frank Pallone, a member of the US House of Representatives and co-chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, on Twitter. This statement came in response to a phone conversation between the US Secretary of State and the President of Azerbaijan.

“I am pleased to see that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is interested in the issues of the South Caucasus and is calling for the immediate release of Armenian detainees unlawfully held by Azerbaijan. The US must aim for the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from border areas with Armenia, as this will contribute to the peace process,” he wrote.
