Fatal Accident on Khanjyan Street: Man Dies at the Scene, Several Injured

Today, July 26, a serious and tragic car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 1:00 AM, on the road connecting Khanjyan Street to Heratsi Street, a head-on collision took place between a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Andranik V. and a VAZ 2102 driven by 61-year-old Edward A., near the Yerevan police department.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, Edward A. died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Opel, Andranik V., was transported to the Erebuni Medical Center. His passenger, 47-year-old Lusine M. from Yerevan, was taken to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center. Other passengers, including 42-year-old Hasmik K., 51-year-old Armenuhi J., and 57-year-old Liza K., who was in the VAZ 2102, were transported to the University Hospital Number 1 with bodily injuries.

The deceased was extracted from the vehicle by firefighters from the emergency situations ministry's rescue service, who arrived promptly.
