Berlin Decides to Close All Swimming Pools: What's the Reason?

The Berlin Chamber of Commerce has announced its intention to close all swimming pools in the city to conserve gas.

"We will have to close the pools and tell people, 'Now swim in the lake to save gas,'" said Jan Edder, the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as quoted by the Berliner Zeitung.

Previously, Klaus Müller, the head of Germany's Federal Network Agency, stated that there is very little fuel in gas storage for Germany to survive the winter season without Russian gas. Consequently, Germans are forced to reduce their consumption, particularly by swimming faster and less.
