Video: 19-Year-Old Russian Wrestler Falls from 2500 Meters
The bronze medalist in freestyle wrestling from Russia, 19-year-old Akhmed Zhilletezhev, has tragically died after falling into a gorge. This was reported by Resadovka.
Member of the St. Petersburg freestyle wrestling team and bronze medalist, Akhmed Zhilletezhev was participating in a training camp in the Elbrus region and recently went on a hike with a group of tourists, deciding to climb Mount Buka-Bashi. Reports indicate that the athlete fell into a mountain gorge from a height of 2500 meters last night. Rescue teams discovered his body today at noon.
The St. Petersburg Wrestling Federation has confirmed Zhilletezhev's death.
