Ukrainian armed forces have shelled Donetsk with incendiary shells containing magnesium. This was reported by KP's special correspondent Dmitry Steshin. Izvestia correspondent Roman Polishakov also reported on the shelling of Donetsk with illuminating projectiles.

It is noted that the main harmful factor of weapons containing magnesium and phosphorus is the thermal energy and the extremely toxic emissions resulting from combustion. When the mixture ignites, it releases an incredible amount of heat, with its combustion temperature reaching 2300-2700 degrees.
