Interethnic conflict expert Nairi Hovhikyan writes: "Almost every month, there is a panic spread in Artsakh that a positional war is about to start, with even specific dates mentioned, generally for the following month. It seems that Aliyev and Erdogan have been informed of this. The sad part is that the residents of Artsakh mostly believe these rumors, and they even propagate them themselves.

Dear residents of Artsakh, false and fabricated news is being spread that a war will start in August. Just as it is possible for war to start in one month, it is equally possible for it to happen today or a year later. Such news is mainly spread by propagandists working for the enemy, who strive to incite panic among us and convince people to leave Artsakh. Currently, there will be no war in Artsakh; if there is, it would be worse for the enemy. The danger of war exists for the Republic of Armenia, but Artsakh has until 2025 to arm itself."
