Kyiv Plans to Detonate Over a Hundred Tons of Toxic Hexane, Russian Defense Ministry
Kyiv is planning a provocation in Sloviansk, intending to detonate containers filled with toxic hexane, according to a statement from Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Interdepartmental Humanitarian Response Coordination Headquarters of the Russian Federation and the National Defense Control Center.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense warns the residents of Sloviansk that the Kyiv regime has completed preparations for yet another horrific provocation using highly potent toxic substances. Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning, in the coming days, to detonate containers with chemically hazardous material - hexane, with a total volume of more than 120 tons,” Mizintsev disclosed.
According to him, the aim of Kyiv's planned provocation is to accuse Russian military forces and the formations of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) of allegedly striking potentially dangerous objects indiscriminately, with extensive media coverage prepared subsequently. “Once again, we emphasize that during the execution of special military operation tasks, the armed forces of Russia and the military formations of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics do not strike civilian infrastructure facilities,” highlighted the general.
He pointed out that following the detonation of hexane, a toxic cloud would form and spread over more than 10 kilometers. During the alleged Ukrainian provocation, all residential areas in the city and surrounding villages would fall into the chemical strike zone.
Hexane is a powerful neurotoxin and carcinogen. It has an irritating effect on the skin, damages the lungs when inhaled, acts as a potent narcotic, induces drowsiness, dizziness, damages the peripheral nervous system, numbs the legs, suppresses the central nervous system, and irritates the eyes.
