Driving Violations During Vardavar: Unlicensed and Intoxicated Drivers

In an effort to ensure safe road traffic, the Traffic Police's Second Battalion has conducted enhanced service from July 18 to 25 across the regions, excluding Shirak and Lori, detecting a total of 4,143 violations of road traffic rules and moving 75 vehicles to secured areas.

Among these, 83 drivers were found to be intoxicated, while 6 were driving without a driver's license. Eighteen vehicles were operated without insurance, 23 had tinted windows, 123 were using improperly affixed license plates, and 2 were without any license plates. Additionally, 8 drivers were fined for smoking while driving, according to the police report.

Notably, a significant portion of these violations occurred on July 24 during the enhanced service conducted in relation to Vardavar, with participation from the Operational Patrol Service's division and accompanying special units. Specifically, on July 24, 911 violations were recorded, and 55 vehicles were removed to secured areas. Despite repeated calls from the Traffic Police, 76 individuals were found driving under the influence.

Particular attention was given to violations regarding passenger transportation, with 42 such cases identified. Enhanced services will continue periodically.
