Lavrov Refutes Accusations of Russia 'Exporting Hunger'
The West and Ukraine, accusing Russia of 'exporting hunger', are attempting to shift responsibility from a 'sick head to a healthy one'. This statement comes from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an article for African media.
“I would like to emphasize that the Western and Ukrainian propaganda claims that Russia is supposedly 'exporting hunger' are absolutely unfounded. Essentially, they are yet another attempt to shift responsibility from a sick head to a healthy one,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
Lavrov reminded that during the crisis caused by the pandemic, the collective West worsened the situation using monetary emission mechanisms. “It was at that time that a severe situation began to emerge in the food market. In recent months, the Western sanctions imposed against Russia have additionally exacerbated negative trends,” Lavrov noted.
