Decay of 29-Year-Old Male Found After Nearly 2 Months as Missing Person in 'Aragil' Restaurant Complex

On July 21, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 20:00, the Kanaker-Zeytun police department received a report that there was a body inside the now non-operational 'Aragil' restaurant complex, located at 2 Azatutyun Avenue, in the Victory Park area which dates back to Soviet times.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police and investigators discovered a completely decayed male body within the premises of the mentioned facility. While the forensic expert was working at the scene, the Kanaker-Zeytun police managed to identify the deceased, who was 29-year-old E. Sh., reported missing since May 18 of this year.

In connection with the incident, a preliminary investigation has been initiated by the Kanaker-Zeytun investigative department, and a criminal case had already been opened regarding his disappearance, under circumstances of murder. A forensic examination of the body has been appointed by the investigator.
