Tragic Incident in Tavush Region: Body of 14-Year-Old Boy Retrieved from Reservoir

Today, on July 14, a tragic incident occurred in Tavush Region. At around 14:35, a call was received at the emergency situations ministry’s 911 crisis management center, reporting that a child had drowned in a reservoir located in the administrative territory of Bagratashen community.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a firefighting and rescue team from the 64th fire brigade arrived at the scene. An operational group from the police department of Noyemberyan, led by department head Arkadi Abovyan, also arrived.

By the time the firefighting and rescue team arrived, local forces had already retrieved the body of 14-year-old Artavazd K. from the reservoir. The boy’s body was transported to the Noyemberyan Medical Center.

According to G. Shamshyan, the individual who reported the incident to the police was the administrative head of Bagratashen community, Sargsyan.
