Andranik Yalanuzyan Arrested in Sochi on Suspicion of Ordering Murder
Andranik Yalanuzyan, a prominent businessman aged 76, has been arrested in Sochi. This information was reported by ВЧК-ОГПУ, citing sources within law enforcement agencies. He is accused of organizing the murder of another influential businessman, Ishkhan Kapekyan, in 2002, as reported by Factinfo.
According to the preliminary investigation, there was an unsuccessful attempt on Yalanuzyan’s life, after which he conducted his own investigation and found that the organizer was Kapekyan. Subsequently, Yalanuzyan issued a directive to eliminate him. Two alleged perpetrators of the murder have also been arrested. All suspects have been transferred to Krasnodar, where the investigation is underway.
Yalanuzyan’s associates connect the incident to attempts to redistribute large plots of land belonging to Yalanuzyan’s structures in Sochi. It appears that the events from 21 years ago have resurfaced for this reason.
Another source from the portal mentioned Yalanuzyan's close ties with Robert Tatulyan (Robson), an extremely influential businessman in Sochi, who was formerly associated with the number one thief in law, Ded Hasan. According to some reports, Tatulyan has temporarily left the region.
