Aghajanyan on Erdogan's Statement Regarding the Opening of the Zangezur Corridor
Aghajanyan noted that the statement was not a precondition. This was said to journalists by the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Edward Aghajanyan, in response to a remark that recently Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan proposed the opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor' and establishing a peace agreement with Azerbaijan as a precondition, and whether the Armenian side's position has changed, raising the question of whether this constitutes a breach of agreements.
'Turkey has consistently maintained this position, which has not been acceptable for us. The Armenian side has recorded that often there is a division in Turkey's statements, and our task is to do everything to ensure that this division does not occur, or at least is minimized. Yes, I note that the Armenian side's position has not changed, and any precondition is unacceptable in this process.'
