Drivers Face Issues with Gas Cylinder Certification as Yet Another Flawed Law Unfolds

«Joxovurd» newspaper reports: A portion of drivers are not being granted gas cylinder certificates as the state has developed yet another incomplete law. The new regulation regarding the certification of gas cylinders has placed a burden on some drivers. «Joxovurd» learned that drivers willingly bring their vehicles to the gas filling stations, but those stations refuse to service vehicles with factory cylinders.

According to the gas filling stations, the reason for this refusal is that after inspecting factory cylinders, issues arise when attempting to install new valves or other components, as these parts are specially manufactured. Since gas filling stations primarily use universal parts, finding solutions for factory cylinders is complicated, if not impossible.

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures is aware of the problem and assures that in the coming days, the ministry will gather all companies providing certification to find solutions to the issue. Arayik Stepanyan, the head of the ministry’s licensing and permits department, affirms, “Yes, we are familiar with this problem and are currently considering what solutions to find and what actions to take. I believe there will be solutions in the coming days.”

It is important to note that the law on the certification of gas cylinders came into effect on August 1, stating that a vehicle cannot be filled with gas if it is not certified. As a result, a diligent driver whose vehicle has a factory-made gas cylinder will be unable to refill gas simply because the certification stations have refused to serve them.

This flawed regulatory environment and the issues related to its implementation are not only creating headaches for drivers but also likely to lead to disputes between drivers and gas station employees. This represents yet another incomplete and flawed law from the authorities, which, once implemented, leads to confusion among citizens and becomes a source of conflict for those affected. Officials drafting various laws, despite their assurances that they are serving the public interest, should carefully examine all aspects before imposing these laws on the public.
