Director of 'Yeralash' Sentenced to 14 Years for Sexual Violence Against a Minor
On July 21, the Solntsevsky District Court in Moscow found Ilya Belostotsky, the director of the 'Yeralash' children's film magazine, guilty of sexual offenses against a minor and sentenced him to 14 years in prison, reports the Telegram channel of the capital's courts.
Belostotsky was charged under part 4, clause 'b' of Article 132 of the Criminal Code (Sexual acts of a violent nature committed against a person under the age of fourteen). He will serve his sentence in a strict regime penal colony. The court ruling also includes a restriction of liberty for a period of one and a half years.
The hearing was conducted behind closed doors. Ilya Belostotsky was arrested in October 2020. He was initially charged with committing indecent acts against a child, but the charges were later escalated to more severe offenses.
