Seventh Package of Sanctions Against Russia Comes Into Effect

The seventh package of anti-Russian sanctions by the European Union has been confirmed and will come into force tomorrow, immediately after its publication in the official journal. This was announced today by the organization's presidency in the Czech Republic on their Twitter page.

"This package will be approved by the EU Council through a written procedure, which will conclude tomorrow at 10:00 AM. The sanctions will take effect after being published in the official journal of the EU," the delegation stated.

Earlier the same day, it was reported that the new list of restrictions will include an embargo on gold from Russia.
