Mother Falls on Her 2-Year-Old Son While Cleaning on a Table; Child Dies

On July 19, a 2-year-old boy, E.T., from the Ararat region, passed away in the intensive care unit of the Yerevan 'St. Astvatsamayr' Medical Center. According to shamshyan.com, the child was transferred to this hospital on July 7 from the 'Artashat' Medical Center. On that day, at around 12:00, a report was received by the Artashat division of the police stating that a boy had been brought in with a diagnosis of 'cranio-cerebral trauma, coma'.

Police found out that on the same day at approximately 11:50, M.S., a 38-year-old woman, was standing on a table in a classroom at the Torgom Postajyan Secondary School in Baghramyan village to carry out cleaning activities. However, the table broke, causing M.S. to fall on E.T. along with the broken pieces of the table, resulting in the child sustaining injuries and being taken to the hospital.

Doctors fought for several days to save the child's life, but to no avail. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal proceeding regarding the incident.
