Video: Mouflons Spotted in Zangezur

Mouflons have once again been spotted in the "Zangezur" State Reserve. This was reported by the "Zangezur Biosphere Complex" State Non-Commercial Organization, adding that the mouflons were observed and filmed on July 14, 2022, during a visit by the Deputy Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia, Aram Meymaryan, accompanied by staff from the organization.

The video shows the mouflons running through the forests of Syunik and competing with each other by hitting one another with their horns.

The Armenian mouflon is listed in the Red Book of the former USSR and the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List as a threatened species.
