Gurza, Sahnodz, Shahmar, and Izh: Numerous Reports of Snakes Sighted

Between July 13 and 15, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported receiving seven notifications regarding the sighting of snakes from various regions of Armenia, including Yerevan.

Specifically, the reptiles were spotted in Yerevan, Ararat city in the Ararat province, and in the villages of Mastara in the Aragatsotn province and Verin Ptghni in the Kotayk province.

Emergency responders who arrived at the scene captured three Gurza, one Sahnodz, two Shahmar, and one Izh, relocating them to a safe area.
