Opposition MPs Will Not Be Stripped of Their Mandates

«Today, the Civil Contract faction will not make a decision to strip opposition MPs of their mandates,» Civil Contract faction MP Hrachya Hakobyan told 24News.

«A few days ago, the Civil Contract faction held a meeting where the issue of stripping opposition members of their positions and mandates was discussed. During the meeting, it was decided that we will not initiate the process of stripping mandates, but it cannot be ruled out that in September or October, the faction will revisit the issue of stripping mandates,» the MP clarified.

According to Hakobyan, the Council of the National Assembly will convene today, as legally, the issue must be discussed during the meeting.
