Construction Volumes Have Increased: 'Zhoghovurd'
Construction volumes have increased by 11.4%. According to the Statistical Committee, more than 112 billion drams of construction has been carried out in Armenia in the first five months of this year, at current prices. From January to May this year, only 4.2 billion drams of construction was implemented in Armenia through foreign investments, a decline of 39.9%. Moreover, the volumes of construction carried out from the state budget have decreased by 0.2%. This was reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
In the first five months of this year, construction worth 25.5 billion drams was executed from the state budget in Armenia. Official data indicates that in the first five months of this year, 23.5% of the construction carried out in the republic was funded by the population. The volumes of construction financed by the population amounted to 26.3 billion drams, reflecting a decrease of 4.7%. The remaining small portion of construction was funded through humanitarian aid and community resources.
