American Howitzer Unit Destroyed in Kharkiv Region
Russian artillery units have destroyed a unit of American M777 howitzers in the village of Pervomaiske in the Kharkiv region. This information has been reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“As part of the counter-battery fight, a multiple rocket launcher battery was destroyed in the Slovyansk region, one battery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Mykolaivka area of the Donetsk People's Republic, and an M777 howitzer battery produced in the USA in the firing positions of the village of Pervomaiske, Kharkiv region,” the statement said.
The Russian Armed Forces have reportedly eliminated around 1,000 militants using precision weapons in Donetsk and the Mykolaiv region. Six militants from the Ukrainian 'Kraken' nationalist battalion were killed following a brawl with their commanders, which was caused by widespread dissatisfaction over an order to advance towards the Kramatorsk area.
According to the Ministry’s data, disputes and clashes involving weapons among the nationalist formations have become increasingly frequent. Additionally, Russian aerospace forces struck the Ukrainian 14th mechanized brigade in the Chasiv Yar area of the DPR using precision weaponry, resulting in the destruction of 43 militants and wounding around 170.
It is noteworthy that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to launch a special military operation against Ukraine, following requests for assistance from the LPR and DPR. The combat operations in Ukraine have now continued for the 141st day.
