Video: Fine of 200,000 Dram for Violations Regarding Gas Cylinder Certification
At a press conference today, Khachik Soghomonyan, head of the Licensing and Permits Department of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, announced that data regarding the certification of gas cylinders for all gas-powered vehicles in Armenia will soon be entered into an electronic database.
"In fact, the regulation for gas cylinder certification came into effect on February 16, 2022, and gas stations were supposed to request certificates from that time, however, there were no penalties if a vehicle did not have a certificate. Starting August 1, a new regulation for gas cylinder certification will take effect, according to which a vehicle that is not certified cannot be filled up," Soghomonyan stated.
A gas station that fills up a vehicle without a certificate will be fined, while the owner of the vehicle will not face a penalty. For a first violation, the company will be fined 200,000 Dram, and for repeated violations, the fine will increase.
