We Hope That In the Future It Will Be Possible to Open the Border for Citizens of Armenia and Turkey: Armen Grigoryan

The phone conversation between Pashinyan and Erdoğan is yet another important step in the normalization process of Armenia-Turkey relations, said the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, during a broadcast on Public Television.

"I believe that in the future it will be possible to open the border for citizens of Armenia and Turkey as well," he stated.

Grigoryan added, "Both Moscow and Brussels have announced in the last year, even in the last 6-7 months, that no discussion has ever taken place on any corridor logic," emphasizing that the opposition's claims regarding preconditions are imaginary, and they see the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations entirely in a bilateral framework.

When asked why representatives of Armenia and Turkey meet in third countries, the Secretary of the Security Council expressed hope that after the Pashinyan-Erdoğan phone call, those meetings could take place in both Armenia and Turkey.

Addressing the relations with Azerbaijan, Grigoryan noted that there is no deadlock in the agenda for normalizing relations with Azerbaijan, and that Armenia continues to work to advance the agenda for the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations as quickly as possible.
