Pashinyan Meets with CEO of Rosatom

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received Alexey Likhachov, the CEO of the Rosatom corporation.

The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian-Russian cooperation in the energy sector has a rich agenda, and that Rosatom is the main partner of the Armenian government in the field of nuclear energy. He highly valued the corporation's role in extending the operational lifespan of the second energy block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and expressed confidence that cooperation in the future will also be effective.

Alexey Likhachov thanked for the close cooperation and stated that Rosatom is interested in continuing effective collaboration with the Armenian government in the coming years.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the further operation of the second energy block of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, the possibilities of constructing a new nuclear power plant in Armenia, the development of nuclear energy, as well as issues related to cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
