Large Police Forces Gathered in Azerbaijan's Sabirabad: The Reason is Known
Large police forces have gathered in Azerbaijan's Sabirabad, according to the Telegram channel 'Azerbaijan Postfactum'. The reason for this buildup is an attempted self-immolation by Elvin Zakir oglu Jefirov, a participant in the 44-day war over Artsakh, in front of the executive authority building in the district of Sabirabad. He was taken to Hospital No. 5 in Baku with severe burns.
Before setting himself ablaze, Elvin complained that he was unable to meet with the executive authority of Sabirabad and that he faced numerous social issues.
It is worth mentioning that nearly 50 participants of Azerbaijan's wars have attempted suicide for various reasons, with 35 of them not surviving. Such suicide attempts are primarily linked to feelings of neglect, indifference, socio-economic difficulties, lack of job opportunities, and the absence of psychological support from official state structures among other reasons.
