Earthquake in Armenia Felt in Yerevan: What We Know

On July 11 at 07:36 local time (03:36 GMT), a magnitude 4.4 earthquake was recorded by the Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry's Seismic Protection Service's seismic network. The quake occurred 14 km east of the village of Bavra in the border area between Georgia and Armenia, with a depth of 10 km.

The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral area was measured at 6 points. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak and Lori provinces with an intensity of 5 points, and in the Tavush and Aragatsotn provinces with a strength of 4 points. It was also felt in the city of Yerevan with an intensity of 2-3 points.
