Fight Against Espionage: What’s Happening in the Ministry of Defense

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that employees of the Ministry of Defense and its affiliated institutions, particularly the military commissariats, have been prohibited from appearing at work with smartphones. The justification given is security concerns. While no further details have been provided, it is understood that this measure is aimed at combating espionage, as transmitting information through social networks and other forms of communication via smartphones is relatively easy.

However, Defense Ministry employees who have contacted us have expressed dissatisfaction, arguing that in an era of advanced technology, this decision by the Ministry's leadership has considerably complicated their work, as the phone is also a work tool. Incidentally, there are talks that a plan to consolidate the military commissariats may be implemented again, presumably due to a reduction in the number of conscripts.
