VIDEO: Fire at a Building Rooftop on Khorenatsi Street
On July 11, at 16:53, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting that a fire had broken out on the rooftop of a building on Khorenatsi Street in Yerevan.
Two firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department, one ladder truck, and a group from the Division of Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Operations were dispatched to the scene. A '1 BIS' alarm for fire complexity was declared, and two more firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department were sent to the site. Subsequently, a 'complexity level 2' alarm was issued, with an additional two firefighting teams and a vehicle from the gas protection service responding.
The fire was contained by 19:47 and fully extinguished by 20:44. Approximately 1000 square meters of wooden structural elements on the rooftop were burned, along with household items accumulated inside and about 4 square meters of ceiling sections in the fourth-floor apartments. Rescuers conducted evacuation operations from the fourth-floor apartments.
