‘It is extremely necessary for the country’: What order did Zelensky give

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has revealed in an interview with The Times that Ukrainian forces have received a directive from President Volodymyr Zelensky to retake the southern part of the country. This information has been reported by TASS.

He noted that for this and other tasks, Ukraine has around 1 million fighters available.

According to Reznikov, politically this is extremely necessary for the country. The Ukrainian President has instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to develop a plan.

Reznikov also stated that the number of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reaches about 700,000, and in total, Kyiv can mobilize around 1 million people for military operations, including the National Guard, police, and border guards.

The head of Ukraine’s defense agency emphasized that to fulfill the tasks set before Kyiv, western military aid must also play a role.
