About the Earthquake Recorded Today in Lori Province
No reports of destruction or collapses have been received following the earthquake in Lori Province. Anna Gasparyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the Lori Provincial Administration, stated this to 24News, referring to the earthquakes recorded east of the village of Bavra in Shirak Province.
According to her, tremors were felt in the province, but no reports of destruction have been received. "The tremors were not that strong," Gasparyan said.
Recall that on July 11 at 07:36 local time, the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake 14 km east of the village of Bavra, with a depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 4.4. The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral area reached 6 points. The earthquake was felt in Shirak and Lori provinces at 5 points, in Tavush and Aragatsotn provinces at 4 points, as well as in Yerevan at an intensity of 2-3 points.
At 09:10, another earthquake was recorded 15 km northeast of the village of Bavra, with a magnitude of 3.8 and a depth of 10 km, where the intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral area was assessed at 5 points. This earthquake was felt in Shirak and Lori provinces at 4 points, and in Tavush and Aragatsotn provinces at 3 points.
On July 11, at 10:14 local time, another earthquake was recorded 13 km northeast of Bavra, with a magnitude of 2.8 and a depth of 10 km, and the intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral area was estimated at 3-4 points. This earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Ghazanchi, and Tavshut in Shirak Province at an intensity of 3 points.
