VIDEO: Over 7000 Lightning Strikes Hit Istanbul

The weather situation in Istanbul is extremely complicated. The Turkish agency has issued a flood warning for 21 of the country’s 81 provinces.

Within just a few hours, more than 7000 lightning strikes have been recorded in Istanbul, according to meteorological services. In an effort to protect residents from severe weather, authorities have prohibited vehicle movement in certain neighborhoods, including Taksim.
