Police Operation in Aparan

In recent weeks, officers from the Aragatsotn regional division of the police, along with the police divisions of Aparan, Ashtarak, and Talin, have collaborated with officers from the second armament company of the Road Police serving the Aragatsotn region to uncover a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, as well as explosive materials, based on received operational data. During the last few days, extensive work has been carried out by the Aparan police for the discovery of illegal weapons and ammunition.

According to Shamshyan.com, yesterday, as part of the “Armory-2022” preventive measure, officers from the criminal investigation department of the Aparan police, together with the criminal investigations department of the Aragatsotn regional division and the second armament company of the Road Police, invited a 44-year-old Yerevan resident, Vahagn G., to the Aparan police division on suspicion of possessing and carrying cold weapons in the area of the 62nd km of the Vanadzor-Margara-Tashir M3 highway.

Vahagn G. was traveling in a Toyota Forerunner vehicle.

Materials prepared in connection with the incident have been sent to the Aragatsotn regional investigation department of the Armenian Investigative Committee to clarify the issue of initiating proceedings regarding the knife presented by Vahagn G. to the police.

According to the website, Vahagn G. informed the police that he works as a financial director at “Ararat-Group” LLC.
