Photos: Major Car Accident in Yerevan Leaves Injured

Today, on July 9, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 3:30 PM, vehicles of Opel and Ford Transit brands collided at the intersection of Arin Berd and Artsakh streets.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, two individuals with varying degrees of bodily injuries were transported to the Erebuni Medical Center. The first responders were citizens who provided assistance, followed by the firefighters from the emergency situations ministry’s Yerevan rescue team who arrived promptly.

The traffic police from Yerevan informed the investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee regarding the accident, prompting an investigation team led by the head of the division, Gor Tadevosyan, his deputy Samvel Samvelyan, and investigator Zhivair Margaryan to arrive at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated by investigator Zhivair Margaryan concerning the incident.
