Recent footage has emerged of Japan's former Prime Minister following an assassination attempt. International news outlets have shared new videos indicating that Abe was conscious immediately after the attack, but his condition deteriorated during transport.

Earlier, emergency services reported that the former Prime Minister was in a state of "cardiac and pulmonary arrest." He is currently hospitalized at Nara Prefectural University Hospital. The suspect in the shooting has been arrested and is reported to be a former member of Japan's Self-Defense Forces, according to Nihon TV.
