Temperature to Rise: Emergency Situations Ministry Warns
Attention: Due to the penetration of tropical warm air currents from the Arabian Peninsula, the air temperature in the republic will rise by 5-7 degrees compared to today from July 8 to 13. In the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, as well as in Yerevan, daytime temperatures are expected to reach +39 to +41 degrees from July 11 to 13.
After noon on July 8-9, localized short-term rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in some regions. From July 10 to 13, dry weather is expected. The wind will be from the southeast at 2-5 m/s, with a strengthening of the wind during thunderstorms expected to reach 17-22 m/s. In Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in the evening hours.
The air temperature will gradually rise by 5-8 degrees from July 8 to 12. In Yerevan, dry weather is anticipated during the daytime on July 8 and from July 9 to 13. Wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in the evening hours.
