‘For the First Time a New Village Will Be Built’: Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the construction of the Kaps Reservoir and the relocation of the village of Jrakdor during today’s government session.
According to Pashinyan, a new village will be built for the first time in the history of independent Armenia. “We hope that the processes will proceed as planned, and there we will essentially construct a new village for the first time in the history of the Republic of Armenia. It is very important that this project progresses successfully and that we can implement a model of a 21st-century village, bringing a new urban culture that aligns with our current expectations and requirements,” he stated.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, also indicated that the design phase of the Kaps Reservoir construction project has already been completed and that the construction company will soon receive an advance payment from the government. Additionally, he mentioned that there is a need for an extra 3.5 million drams in funding.
