Brazilian Model Killed in Ukraine While Participating in Military Operations

A Brazilian former model, Talita do Valen, has died in Ukraine following a missile attack while participating in military operations on behalf of the Ukrainian armed forces.

According to the Daily Mail, the model joined the Ukrainian military as a volunteer three weeks ago, and she was killed on July 2 in Kharkiv, inside a bunker where she had taken shelter due to a fire outbreak. Her brother Theo Rodrigo Vieira informed reporters that Valen had separated from her unit and stayed in the bunker. After the fire, the sniper was unable to escape. Reports indicate that her death was due to asphyxiation.

This was not the Brazilian's first experience in participating in special military operations. She had already fought against ISIS in Iraq and the Levant.
