64-Year-Old Driver Involved in Pedestrian Accident, Doctors Fight for Young Man's Life
Today, on July 5, a pedestrian accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At around 10:45 AM, 64-year-old Samvel V., a resident of Gegharkunik, struck 43-year-old Hakob E., also a local resident, with his Hyundai vehicle bearing Russian license plates on the 35th kilometer of the Sevan-Martuni-Gegharak highway, within the administrative territory of Noratuz village.
According to reports from the scene, the driver did not flee the site of the incident. He alerted the 'Gavarr' medical center, where an emergency medical team promptly arrived. They first provided initial medical assistance on-site to the injured pedestrian, before transporting him to the 'Gavarr' medical center. He was then transferred to one of the hospitals in Yerevan by ambulance.
