Snakes Active in the Republic

From June 29 to July 1, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 14 reports regarding snakes spotted in various regions of the republic. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

It is noted that the reports came from Yerevan, the city of Yeghengadzor in the Vayots Dzor Province, Gladzor, the village of Arzakan in the Kotayk Province, the village of Azatashen in the Ararat Province, and from the villages of Oshakan and Karbi in the Aragatsotn Province.

Rescue teams that arrived at the scene captured 7 gyurza snakes, 3 ratsnakes, 3 smooth snakes, and 1 lizard and transported them to safe areas.
