What Sweden Promised Turkey: Erdogan Reports

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Thursday during a press conference following the NATO summit in Madrid that all NATO allies must adopt a united and firm stance against terrorism and enhance cooperation in the fight against it, reports Anadolu Agency.

Erdogan noted that Ankara has demonstrated its 'red lines' regarding terrorism in relation to Sweden and Finland's NATO membership bid. Commenting on NATO's expansion, he remarked that the trilateral declaration with Sweden and Finland is a diplomatic victory for Turkey and the Turkish people following a complex negotiation process.

He reported that as part of the agreements reached, Sweden has promised to extradite 73 terrorists to Turkey.
