«We Are All Sacrificing»: Sargsyan's Remarkable Statement

Opposition members in parliament will forgo other administrative positions, including committee chair and vice-chair roles, said opposition MP Ishkhan Sargsyan in an interview with Azatutyun today, stating, “We are all sacrificing for them, let them go and do what they want.”

National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan did not rule out yesterday that if the opposition proposes new candidates for the remaining positions, they may be elected.

Sargsyan mentioned, “We have considered this matter so secondary that we have not yet had a comprehensive discussion as a faction, but we will not, naturally, propose a candidate. Moreover, our colleagues will probably forgo the other administrative positions held by the opposition.”
