Clash Between Relatives of Fallen Soldiers and 2 Citizens; One Person Detained

In the aftermath of a confrontation between relatives of fallen soldiers and two citizens, one person has been detained, as reported by 168.am from the police.

The incident occurred today near the building of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia. Two citizens, one of whom, according to the website, was Roman Baghdasaryan, a supporter of Nikol Pashinyan, attempted to provoke those gathered outside the prosecutor's office.

A clash ensued, prompting police intervention, which resulted in Baghdasaryan being removed from the area.

“One person has been detained from the area adjacent to the Prosecutor General's Office and is currently being taken to the Central Department. Preparations are underway at this time,” police stated, declining to disclose the name of the individual.

It should be noted that today, parents of fallen soldiers staged a protest outside the prosecutor's office, demanding that the case initiated under Article 308, Part 2 (abuse of official authority resulting in severe consequences) be transferred to the National Security Service.
