The Officer Who Choked a Protestor Has Been Promoted
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that in response to demands for the punishment of police officers who used violence against participants in protests and rallies during the resistance movement, the prosecutor's office has issued statements indicating that materials are being prepared, criminal cases will be initiated, and all incidents will be investigated. European country ambassadors and Andrea Victorin also stated that they urged the authorities to investigate all these incidents and punish those police officers who obstructed the constitutional right to assembly.
One of these incidents caused a significant uproar: it involved a red beret officer choking a protestor with both hands. The footage clearly shows who the choker is and how he attempts to suffocate his victim with two fingers. While society is waiting for the violent police officers to be held accountable, and this red beret officer should be at the top of that list, we have learned that the initiation of a criminal case regarding this specific incident has been denied.
Not only has the criminal case been closed, but following the choking incident, the red beret officer named Arthur has been promoted to a squad commander, recognized as a police officer who served the authorities well and as an example for other officers. He teaches his subordinates to serve the authorities just as he does. Therefore, be prepared for the number of choking police officers at future protests to double!
