Kazan Resident Attempted to Travel through Armenia to Ukraine to Fight Against Russia

A court in Russia has detained a resident of Kazan who intended to travel to Ukraine to participate in military operations against the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by Interfax.

It is noted that the detained individual had planned to cross into Ukraine through Armenia and Georgia, areas controlled by illegal armed groups. To this end, the Kazan resident approached the military attaché of Ukraine in Armenia, requesting assistance for his journey to Ukraine to join a foreign legion.

The Kazan resident attempted to leave for the Republic of Armenia on May 18 but was arrested by officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
