«They Feel Sorry for Themselves»: Sahakyan and Vahe Hakobyan on the Decision of the CP

“I feel sorry for them, it’s their fault to come to this. If this is the agenda of the country, it’s normal, but for me at this moment, it’s a secondary issue,” said Ishkhan Sahakyan, a representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), in an interview with Factinfo, commenting on the decision of the ruling Civil Contract party (CP) to dismiss him from the position of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

Sahakyan mentioned that he learned about the decision to dismiss him from the media. “That is their agenda; for me, it is such a secondary question. For them, it was a goal in life; I feel sorry for them. They should think about Berdzor and giving up more territories. Our agenda today is somewhere else; we are dealing with other issues, and I am not interested in this at all,” he stated.

Vahe Hakobyan also commented on the CP's decision in an interview with the same media outlet, stating that this decision was not a surprise for him. “What can I say, ‘have a good trip’ to them; it was an expected decision. On the other hand, it turned out to be very good, as it provided me with a legitimate opportunity to act more freely,” said Hakobyan.
