Biden and Macron's Response to the Missile Strike on the Kremenchug Trade Center
The missile strike on Kremenchug's 'Amstor' shopping center by the Russian Armed Forces is a manifestation of Russia's cruelty and barbarism. The response of Western leaders to the news of Russia's latest shelling of a civilian object in Ukraine has garnered significant attention, reports Fokus.
U.S. President Joe Biden reacted to the Russian missile attack on Kremenchug, stating that Washington will continue to hold Russia accountable for 'crimes in Ukraine.'
According to French President Emmanuel Macron, the missile strike on Kremenchug by the Russian armed forces is 'absolute horror.' The official Paris, as the head of state noted, shares the pain and anger of the victims' families towards the Russian Federation.
'The shelling of the shopping center in Kremenchug is absolute horror. We share the pain and anger of the families of the victims. The Russian people must see the truth,' Macron wrote on Twitter.
'The Russian attack on civilians at the shopping center was brutal. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The G7 summit showed that the United States, together with our allies and partners, will continue to hold Russia accountable for such atrocities and support Ukraine's defense,' he added.
Joe Biden further stated that the West will strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation to completely isolate the aggressor country. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson remarked that Vladimir Putin has descended into cruelty and barbarism by ordering the missile strike on the 'Amstor' shopping center in Kremenchug.
'Our thoughts are with the families of innocent victims in Ukraine. Putin must realize that his actions will yield nothing and will only strengthen the resolve of any other G7 country to support Ukraine for as long as required,' emphasized the British politician.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink assured that 'Russia will answer for its atrocities committed by the occupiers on Ukrainian territory.'
'Horrific messages and images are coming from Kremenchug following the Russian missile attack on a crowded shopping center. The world will hold the Kremlin accountable for the atrocities in Ukraine,' she added in a tweet.
The leaders of the G7 have released a statement condemning the 'disgusting attack on the Kremenchug shopping center. We will not rest until Russia has ended its cruel and senseless war against Ukraine.'
