QP Member Of Parliament Submits Resignation
The President of the National Assembly of Armenia has issued a statement regarding the resignation request submitted by Arthur Davtyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction.
"According to Article 155, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, Arthur Davtyan, a Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, submitted his resignation on June 27. According to Article 155, Part 2 of the same law, if within one week after the announcement of the resignation, the member withdraws their resignation request in writing, the President of the National Assembly makes a statement about this. If the resignation request is not withdrawn, a record is drawn up regarding the cessation of the member’s powers, which is signed and published by the President of the National Assembly. From the moment of publication of the record, the resignation is considered accepted," the statement reads.
