New Chairman of the CEC to be Declared in October: Arsen Babayan
On October 6 of this year, the term of office for the Chairman of the CEC, Tigran Mukuchyan, will expire, and the authorities already have a candidate to fill the role.
This information was shared by Arsen Babayan, a member of the ‘Homeland’ party council, on Telegram.
According to reliable sources I have, two candidates have been considered: Vardine Grigoryan, the coordinator of the Monitoring and Reporting Division of the Helsinski Civil Assembly in Vanadzor (whose head is Sakunts), and Vahagn Hovakimyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling party and noted for interpreting the constitution.
It appears that Vahagn Hovakimyan has been chosen due to his remarkable performance in undermining the constitution, brilliantly distorting the local self-government law, and his success with numerous other anti-state initiatives.
Thus, in October, Vahagn Hovakimyan will be declared the new Chairman of the CEC.
