In just the last few days, patrol officers in Lori have discovered over ten vehicles of various makes loaded with timber of different sizes.

The drivers did not present any documents confirming the legality of the cargo. The timber, cut from various types of trees, along with the vehicles, has been transported to designated secure areas of the territorial divisions of the Lori regional administration. Expert examinations have been appointed.

Investigations into the cases reveal that vehicles loaded with illegal timber are primarily found during evening hours. This situation suggests that drivers believe it is safer to transport the timber during the evening to avoid detection.
